The property.
Manicou River is set on 9.5 acres of mountainside woodland. At the bottom of the property is our name-sake river lined with ancient mango trees and our tropical flower garden.
The land slopes up steeply from the river, providing us with our wonderful views. You can drive your car within at least 20ms of your cottage but good shoes are recommended at all times.
As we are up on the side of the mountain and our land is steep, a 4x4 vehicle is the only way to access the property. The road is winding and steep but once you get to the top the views make it all worthwhile.
Our property is home to over 20 species of birds, some of which are rare and endemic. Our nature setting and abundance of trees makes us a prime places for bird-watching with many species feeding and resting at close proximity to the cottages.
